Fishing in MySims: Not in Original PC Game, but Available in MySims Kingdom

The original MySims (PC, 2007) does not have fishing. It was introduced in the sequel, MySims Kingdom (Wii/DS, 2008).

How to Fish in MySims Kingdom

1. Buy a Rod: Purchase from the General Store in your town.
2. Find Water: River, lake, or ocean shore.
3. Equip Rod: Select from inventory/backpack.
4. Cast: Press prompted button to throw line.
5. Wait for Bite: Bobber dips / controller vibrates.
6. Reel In: Press button promptly; follow on-screen prompts (timing/mashing).
7. Catch: Fish added to collection; view in encyclopedia.

Tips

• Time of Day: Some species only bite morning/night.
• Bait Variety: Different bait attracts different fish.
• Location Matters: River ≠ Lake ≠ Ocean species pools.
• Patience: Bites can take 10–30 seconds.

If you're on PC, you're playing the wrong MySims for fishing!
