PC Game Controllers With a Real Joystick: Flight Sticks, Arcade Sticks & Gamepads

"Joystick" means two different things in gaming hardware:

True Joysticks (Flight / Arcade Sticks)

• HOTAS: Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS, Logitech X56, VKB Gladiator NXT – for flight sims.
• Arcade Fight Sticks: Hori Real Arcade Pro, Qanba Obsidian, Victrix Pro FS – for fighting games.

Gamepads With Analog Sticks (Often Called Joysticks)

• Xbox Series X|S / Elite / Core controllers
• DualSense / DualShock 4
• 8BitDo Pro 2 / Ultimate
• Gulikit KK3 Max (Hall effect)

Terminology: Only the first group are technically joysticks. The second group has "analog sticks." Marketing blurs the line—read specs.
