How to Roleplay on Stardoll: Character Creation, Fashion, Clubs & Safety

Stardoll is a browser/app dress-up & social community (launched 2004). Roleplay happens through character-building, fashion, clubs, and chat—not a dedicated RP engine.

Core RP Tools

1. Character Creation

• Design your "Medoll" (avatar) to match a persona: pop star, fantasy elf, historical figure, OC.
• Name + Profile Description = backstory. Write: "Astra, 17, starlight mage from Lunaria. Seeks lost constellations."
• Use StarDesign (custom clothing) for unique looks.

2. Fashion as Expression

• Dress for scenes: ballgown for royal court, armor for quest, casual for coffee shop.
• Join Fashion Clubs with themes (Victorian, Cyberpunk, Cottagecore).
• Enter Runway/Contests—treat themes as RP prompts.

3. Social Interaction

• Clubs: Join/create RP clubs (search "roleplay," "RP," "story"). Post scenarios: "The academy gates open. First-years arrive."
• Chat / Messages: DM for 1-on-1 scenes. Use ((OOC)) for out-of-character.
• Guestbooks: Leave in-character comments on profiles.

4. Suite (Room) as Set

• Decorate rooms as locations: throne room, spaceship bridge, haunted library.
• Host "open house" RP events.
• Use furniture creatively—bookshelves as spell archives, rugs as magic circles.

Etiquette & Safety

• Respect boundaries: No godmodding, powerplay, or non-con without OOC agreement.
• Age-appropriate: Stardoll is 13+. Keep romance fade-to-black.
• Report harassment: Use "Report" button; moderators act fast.
• Parental supervision: Parents: enable "KidSafe" mode, monitor clubs/chats.

Pro Tips

• Create a signature format: **Action** "Dialogue" *Thought*
• Collaborate on shared stories via club forums or Google Docs.
• Screenshot scenes for "comic strip" posts in club.
