Saving in Age of Empires III: Singleplayer, Multiplayer & Hotkeys

Single-player / Skirmish:

• Press Esc → Save Game → choose slot (10 slots) → name → Save.
• Hotkeys: F5 = quick save to current slot; F6 = save to next empty slot.

Multiplayer:

• Only the host can save.
• Must be your turn (in turn-based) or paused (real-time with "Allow Saves" enabled in lobby).
• All players rejoin from the saved file when host reloads.

Load Game

Esc → Load Game → select slot → Load.

Save often — especially before big attacks or wonder construction.
