How to Restart Fish Tycoon: Three Options for a Fresh Start

There is no single “Restart Game” button. You have three options depending on your goal:

Option 1: New Profile (Clean Slate)

Go to the main menu > Change Player > New Player. Enter a new name. This creates a fresh save slot with a new tank, starting funds, and no progress.

Option 2: Delete Current Save (Permanent)

To completely erase your current profile:

1. Locate the save folder:
   • Windows: %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Fish Tycoon\ or %APPDATA%\FishTycoon\
   • Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Fish Tycoon/
   • Mobile (iOS/Android): Uninstall & reinstall the app (clears local data).
2. Delete the .sav or playerX.dat file corresponding to your profile.

Warning: This is irreversible. Backup the file first if unsure.

Option 3: New Tank (Keep Profile)

In-game: Menu > New Tank. This starts a fresh aquarium under your current player profile, retaining your unlocked species/items but resetting the tank population and cash.
