How Many M-Rated Games Exist? (Platform Breakdown – ESRB, Steam, Consoles)

Your question is incomplete: "How many games are rated M on..." requires a platform or storefront.

Examples of What You Might Mean

• ESRB Database (All Platforms): ~4,500+ M-rated titles since 1994 (per ESRB public stats).
• Steam: ~2,800+ games tagged "Mature" (includes non-ESRB ratings).
• PlayStation Store (PS4/PS5): ~600+ M-rated.
• Xbox Store: ~500+ M-rated.
• Nintendo eShop (Switch): ~300+ M-rated.
• Mobile (iOS/Android): ESRB doesn't rate most mobile; Apple/Google use 17+/Mature 17+.

Specify the platform/store, and I'll provide the closest available count (exact numbers change weekly with new releases/delistings).
