Can You Still Earn Shrds in UB Funkeys?

No. The UB Funkeys online servers were permanently shut down in 2013. Because the game relied entirely on server connectivity for the "Hub" world, mini-games, and the Shrd economy, it is impossible to earn Shrds or play any online portion of the game today.

What Still Works (Offline Only)

• The physical figures and USB hub still function as USB devices.
• The game client may launch to a main menu, but the "Go Online" button leads to a dead server connection.
• No local save data allows for Shrd accumulation or gameplay progression.

Community Preservation Efforts

Dedicated fans have attempted private server emulation projects (similar to Club Penguin Rewritten or Toontown Rewritten), but as of 2024, no stable, public, feature-complete private server exists for UB Funkeys. The encryption and server architecture proved difficult to reverse-engineer fully.

If you find UB Funkeys figures at a thrift store, they are strictly collectibles or display pieces now. They cannot unlock digital content or currency.
