Pokémon Ruby: No Cheat Input, How to Get Master Ball Legitimately

You cannot enter cheat codes in Pokémon Ruby (GBA). No cheat menu exists in any official Pokémon game.

Why No Cheats?

• Anti-cheat design (checksums, save validation).
• Preserves challenge, trading economy, competitive integrity.
• Action Replay/GameShark are external hardware—not built-in.

Get Master Ball Legitimately (One Per Game)

1. Progress to Team Magma Hideout (Lilycove City).
2. Reach Maxie's room (after solving tile puzzles).
3. Master Ball is in Item Ball on ground—cannot miss it.
4. Save before picking up if you want to reset for nature (irrelevant for Master Ball).

Additional Master Balls (Legit Methods)

• Lottery Corner (Lilycove Dept. Store): Match all 5 digits of any Pokémon's ID → Master Ball (1/100,000 daily).
• Battle Frontier (Emerald only): Trade from Emerald after 48+ Battle Tower wins.
• Clone Glitch (Emerald Only): Battle Tower cloning dupes Master Ball. Risk: Save corruption.

If Using Emulator

• Enable cheats in emulator (VBA, mGBA, RetroArch) via .cht files.
• Common code: 82005274 0001 (Master Ball in PC Item Storage Slot 1).
• Risk: Save corruption, game instability, ruins achievement.
