Cheat Engine in Online Games: Guaranteed Ban, Not Worth It

Using Cheat Engine (or any memory editor) in online games = permanent account + hardware ban.

Detection Is Inevitable

• Kernel Anti-Cheat: Vanguard (Valorant), BattlEye (PUBG, Destiny 2), EasyAntiCheat (Fortnite, Apex) scan memory at ring 0.
• Heuristics: Unusual value changes (health, ammo, currency) flagged instantly.
• Signature Scanning: Known CE strings, drivers, window titles detected.
• Server-Side Validation: Impossible stats (K/D, accuracy, resource gain) trigger manual review.

Consequences

• Account Ban: All games on that license (Steam, PSN, Xbox, Battle.net).
• Hardware ID Ban: Motherboard/SSD/MAC serialized — new account on same PC = auto-ban.
• IP Ban: Entire household blocked.
• Legal: Some publishers sue cheat developers/distributors (e.g., Bungie, Riot, Blizzard).

The Only Safe Use

Single-player, offline games only. Disable internet. Use FearLess Cheat Engine tables from reputable sources. Never bring that install online.

Fair play is the only sustainable path. Skill earned lasts; cheats get erased.
