Free-to-Play Hero Shooter Alternatives

• Team Fortress 2 – The classic class-based shooter; still active, huge item economy.
• Overwatch 2 – Hero shooter with distinct roles, regular updates, cross-play.
• Paladins – Fantasy-themed hero shooter; deep card-based loadout system.
• Valorant – Tactical 5v5 hero shooter; precise gunplay + abilities.
• Apex Legends – Battle royale hero shooter; movement-focused, squad-based.

These games offer the cartoonish style, class variety, and progression systems Battlefield Heroes pioneered, but with live support and populations.
