Unlocking All Characters in Dynasty Warriors 2 (PS2) Legitimately

There is no "Unlock All" code for Dynasty Warriors 2. You must unlock them through gameplay:

Unlock Methods

• Musou Mode (Story): Complete each character's Musou Mode to unlock their 4th Weapon and often other faction leaders.
• Free Mode: Play stages with unlocked characters to meet specific conditions (e.g., "Defeat Lu Bu in 3 mins" on Hu Lao Gate).
• Encyclopedia / Gallery: Filling entries unlocks some.
• Difficulty: Hard / Very Hard unlocks more characters/weapons than Normal/Easy.
• Specific Unlocks (Examples):
  • Lu Bu: Defeat him in Musou Modes (Hulao Gate) or specific Free Mode conditions.
  • Diao Chan: Complete Musou with all Shu females? (Varies by version).
  • Zhu Rong / Meng Huo: Nanman Campaign completions.

Exploits (Not Cheats, But "Game Mechanics")

• 2P Controller Swap: Start 2P game → 2P selects locked char → 2P quits → Char sometimes unlocks for 1P (version dependent).
• Memory Card Transfer: Load a 100% save from GameFAQs/Internet onto your Memory Card (PS2 save exploit / FreeMCBoot).

Legit route: Play each faction's Musou on Hard. It's the intended 40–60 hour journey.
