The Sims 3 on Nintendo DSi? Never Released—Only Sims 2 & Sims 3: Pets

The Sims 3 was never released for Nintendo DSi. The DSi got two Sims titles:

• The Sims 2 (2008) — Full life sim, simplified for DSi.
• The Sims 3: Pets (2011) — Pet-focused subset. Create pets, care for them, limited Sim interaction.

ESRB Rating Clarification

Ratings apply to game content, not the console. All versions of The Sims 3 (PC, Mac, 360, PS3, Wii, 3DS) share the same T for Teen rating. There is no "DSi version" with a different rating because the game doesn't exist on DSi.

If You Want Sims on Handheld

• 3DS: The Sims 3 (full), The Sims 3: Pets, The Sims 4 (cloud via Switch? No—Switch has Sims 4 but not 3DS).
• Mobile: The Sims FreePlay, The Sims Mobile — Free-to-play, microtransactions.
• Switch: The Sims 4 (legacy edition, limited updates).

DSi Sims library ends at Sims 3: Pets. For the full Sims 3 experience, you need PC, Mac, 360, PS3, Wii, or 3DS.
