Copying DSi Games Between Consoles: Impossible Officially, Risky via Homebrew

You cannot legally or officially copy DSiWare / DSi Games between consoles.

Why Official Methods Fail

• Encryption: Titles Signed per Console ID (Console Unique Key). Copying Raw Files → "Invalid Signature" Error.
• DRM: Nintendo Server Auth Required for Transfer (Defunct since March 2023 eShop Closure).
• System Transfer Tool: Only Works DSi → DSi (Local Wireless) OR DSi → 3DS (System Transfer). Requires Both Consoles Online (Nintendo Servers) → IMPOSSIBLE NOW.

Homebrew Path (CFW Required on Both) — Legal Warning

1. Install Unlaunch + TWiLight Menu++ / hiyaCFW on Source & Target.
2. Use GodMode9i (DSi) / GodMode9 (3DS) to Dump Title (.tmd + .app + .tik + Content) to SD.
3. Inject Ticket (.tik) on Target Console (Requires ticket.db Edit / tik2sd / FBI on 3DS).
4. Install via TWiLight / FBI.
