Restarting a Nintendogs Save File: Options & Limitations

No in-game "New Game / Reset" option exists. Save data lives on the cartridge (DS) or SD/NAND (3DS).

Options

• New profile (DSi/3DS): System Settings → User → Create New → launch Nintendogs → fresh save.
• Second cartridge: Buy another copy — each cart holds independent save.
• Delete save via system menu (DS/DS Lite): Not possible — no data management for cart saves.
• Flashcart / homebrew: Can backup/wipe save, but requires modding.

Data cannot transfer between cartridges. If you want a clean slate, easiest path: new profile (3DS/DSi) or second cart.
