Restarting Nintendogs on an R4 Flashcart: Delete Save via System Settings

You don’t “restart on the R4.” The R4 only holds the ROM; save data lives on the DS/DSi/3DS internal memory.

To start fresh:

1. On the DS HOME menu, go to System Settings → Data Management → Nintendogs → Delete Save Data.
2. Launch the ROM again—it’ll be a new game.

Note: R4 flashcarts are for playing backups. Downloading ROMs you don’t own is piracy. Support developers by buying the cartridge.
