Return to DSi Menu from a Game – Methods by Title (HOME Button, Power Hold, In-Game Menu)

There is no universal "Home" button on DSi games. Exit method depends on the title:

Common Methods

• HOME Button (Round, Bottom Right): Works in most DSiWare, System Settings, and some retail games (pauses → returns to menu).
• POWER Button (Hold 2–3 sec): Prompts "Close software?" → Yes → returns to DSi Menu.
• In-Game Menu: Many games have "Quit to Menu" or "Save & Quit" in their pause/start menu.
• Close Lid (Sleep) → Reopen → HOME: Some games release focus in sleep mode.

If Frozen

1. Hold POWER 10+ seconds → forced shutdown.
2. Restart → DSi Menu loads.
3. Warning: Unsaved progress lost. Avoid frequent hard resets.

Save First!

Always use in-game save before exiting. DSi Menu does not auto-save retail cartridges.
