Instructions
Press the power button on the console itself to turn it on. If the remote can't register itself with the console, pressing the power button on the remote will have no effect.
Open the panel on the front of the Wii console where the SD card is inserted. Locate the square red button above the SD card slot; this is the Wii console's synchronization button.
Remove the battery cover on the Wii remote you want to sync with the console, taking off the silicone remote jacket if necessary. Locate the small round red button above the battery slots; this is the synchronization button on the Wii remote.
Press the synchronization button on the Wii remote and release it. When the four blue lights on the bottom of the Wii remote start blinking, press and release the synchronization button on the Wii console.
Wait while the Wii remote synchronizes with the console. When synchronization is complete, the blue light indicating the remote's controller position remains steadily lit and the console recognizes input from the remote.
