Can You Play 2-Player Online Co-op in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (2022)?

No. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (2022) does not support 2-player online co-op in its multiplayer modes. You can party up with friends for standard competitive modes (Team Deathmatch, Domination, etc.), but there is no dedicated 2-player cooperative campaign or Spec Ops mode designed for online duos.

Co-op Options Available

• Local Split-Screen (2 Players): Available in Private Matches and some Spec Ops missions only on PlayStation and Xbox consoles (not PC). Both players need accounts signed in.
• Campaign Co-op: The 2022 campaign is single-player only. (The 2019 Modern Warfare had Spec Ops co-op, but not the main campaign.)
• DMZ Mode (Warzone 2.0): Supports squads of 3, so a duo can play together in this extraction mode.

Games With True 2-Player Online Co-op

If you want a dedicated 2-player online cooperative experience, consider:

• Deep Rock Galactic (2–4 players)
• It Takes Two (exactly 2 players)
• Borderlands 3 (2–4 players)
• Halo Infinite Campaign (2–4 players online)
