Can 2 Players Play Black Ops Online on One Console? No – Split-Screen Online Not Supported

No. Call of Duty: Black Ops (and all CoD titles) does not support split-screen online multiplayer. Each player needs:

• A separate console
• A separate game copy
• A separate Xbox Live Gold / PS Plus account
• A separate display (or LAN/system link)

Local Multiplayer Options

• Split-screen offline: Local versus (Combat Training, Custom Games) only.
• Zombies split-screen: 2-player local co-op (offline or online with 2 consoles).
• LAN/System Link: Multiple consoles on same network—no internet subscription needed.

Online matchmaking strictly enforces 1 player per console per account.
