Cheats for More Than 8 Dogs in Nintendogs (DS): Don't Exist

No legitimate cheats exist. The 8-dog limit is hard-coded into the save structure. Attempts to bypass it via Action Replay or save editors:

• Corrupt the save file (loss of all progress).
• Trigger anti-cheat flags (if playing online via Nintendo WFC—now shut down).
• Cause graphical glitches / crashes.

Workarounds Within the Rules

• Rotate dogs: Donate one at the kennel, adopt a new one—keep 8 active.
• Multiple cartridges: Each copy holds 8 dogs; swap carts.
• Nintendogs + Cats (3DS): Allows more pets and deeper interaction.

The limit exists to keep care gameplay meaningful—focus on bonding with your eight pups.
