Chat Games Like Meez or Xiivio: Modern Alternatives for Social Avatars

Meez and Xiivio were unique for their time. No exact clones exist, but these platforms offer similar social/avatar experiences:

Social Platforms with Avatar/Chat Focus

• Discord: Not a game, but massive for communities. Custom avatars, voice/video/text chat, integrated games/activities via bots.
• Roblox: User-generated games with strong social features, avatar customization, and chat.
• Second Life: Long-running virtual world. Deep avatar customization, roleplay, events, economy.
• VRChat: Social VR (works on desktop too). Custom avatars, worlds, games, heavy community focus.
• IMVU: Avatar-based social networking. Fashion, chat rooms, virtual goods marketplace.

Simpler Chat-Focused Options

• Omegle: Random 1-on-1 text/video chat. Unmoderated; use caution.
• Chatango: Create/join public chat rooms.

Considerations

• Audience: Many skew younger.
• Moderation varies: Research safety features.
• Privacy: Never share personal info.

Search "social avatar chat games" or "virtual worlds" for more options. The best fit depends on what you valued in Meez/Xiivio — fashion, roleplay, mini-games, or just hanging out.
