Playing Mega Man 7 Online: Options (Emulator Netplay, Switch Online, Community Races)

Mega Man 7 (SNES) is single-player only. "Online" options:

• Emulator netplay – RetroArch (SNES9x core) or SNES9x with netplay lobby; share ROM (must own cart) with friend for co-op/race.
• Nintendo Switch Online – includes Mega Man 7 in SNES library; play solo or use "Share Play"-style session pass (host streams, guest controls).
• Community races – Speedrun.com, Discord communities organize weekly races; stream via Twitch/YouTube.

Legal note: Downloading ROMs without owning the cartridge is copyright infringement in most jurisdictions. Dump your own cart (e.g., Retrode) for legal emulation.
