Resident Evil 5 Co-op Without Internet? Not Possible on Consoles

No local split-screen exists. Co-op requires an Xbox Live / PSN connection (even for System Link / LAN — patched out).

Why

• Engine built for online session matching.
• No offline second-player camera/viewport code.

Options

• Play online (Gold/PS+ required on 360/PS3).
• PC version — Supports LAN via Steam / DirectIP, plus mods for split-screen (e.g., RE5 Split Screen Mod).
• RE6 / RE: Revelations 2 — Have native local co-op.

On 360/PS3, internet is mandatory for RE5 co-op.
