Cannot Create New PSN Account on PS3 Anymore — Create on PS4/PS5/Web Instead

You cannot create a new PSN account on PS3 anymore. The PS3 PlayStation Store and account-creation servers were shut down on July 2, 2021.

What You Can Do

• Existing PSN Account: If you already have a PSN account (created on PS3, PS4, PS5, or web), sign in on the PS3 with those credentials. You may still access Black Ops multiplayer if the game servers are online.
• Create on PS4/PS5/Web: Make a PSN account at account.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com or on a PS4/PS5, then sign in on PS3.
• Offline Play: Campaign and local modes work without PSN.

Caveats

• Call of Duty: Black Ops (2010) PS3 servers may be unstable or partially deprecated.
• DLC purchases via PS3 Store are impossible; buy on PS4/PS5/web if compatible.
• Two-factor authentication is recommended for account security.

If you lack an existing PSN account, creating one on a modern device/web is your only path.
