Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 "Uprising" DLC Free on PS3: Not Available Anymore

You cannot get the "Uprising" DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 for free on PS3 anymore.

Why It's Unavailable

• Delisted: DLC for older games is often removed from the PlayStation Store.
• No Free Promotions: Publishers rarely offer free DLC for legacy titles years after launch.
• Store Closure: PS3 PlayStation Store purchase functionality was limited in 2021 (though download list still works for owned content).

Possible Alternatives

• Used Physical Copy with DLC Code: Find a used Black Ops 2 copy that includes the "Uprising" DLC code on the receipt/insert. Verify the code is unused before buying.
• Game Share: If a PS Plus friend owns the DLC on their account, you can game-share (set their account as primary on your PS3)—but this violates Sony's terms if not same household.

Free Call of Duty Alternatives

• Call of Duty: Mobile (iOS/Android) — Free-to-play, includes maps/modes from Black Ops 2.
• PlayStation Plus Monthly Games: Occasionally include CoD titles (e.g., Modern Warfare Remastered, WWII, Black Ops 4).
• Free Weekends: Rare but happen on newer titles.

Be cautious buying used DLC codes—many are already redeemed or region-locked. No legitimate free path exists for Black Ops 2 DLC on PS3 today.
