How to Create Your Own Login For a PS3

When multiple people are using the same PS3 frequently, it may be worth it to create separate PlayStation Network (PSN) accounts. The PlayStation Network is the free online content and matchmaking service that allows all the users on your PS3 to play games online and download additional content. PSN accounts are free and there is no limit to the amount of accounts you can create on the PS3. The email address and password will act as the login information for your PSN account.

Instructions

  Scroll to the "PlayStation Network" icon on the XMB (PS3 main menu). Select "Sign up for PlayStation Network." Select "Continue" to skip the introduction.

  Enter your language, country and date of birth. Read the User Agreement and select "Accept" to continue. Enter an email address and password using the on-screen keyboard. Select a security question and use the on-screen keyboard to enter an answer to the question.

  Enter the PSN username. If the name is taken, you will be prompted to select a different one. Enter your name and address using the on-screen keyboard. Select or de-select any notifications you wish to receive.

  Select "Confirm" to create the account. Select "Yes" or "No" when asked to answer the survey. Select a photo to act as the avatar for your PSN account.
