Recovering Deleted DLC Map Packs on PlayStation

Deleted DLC is recoverable — it's tied to your PSN account, not the console.

How to Re-download (PS3 / PS4 / PS5)

  1. Library → Purchased: Library tab → **Purchased** → Filter "Add-ons" / "DLC". Find map pack → **Download**.
  2. Game Hub: Highlight game → Press **Options** → **Manage Game Content** → **Your Add-ons** → Download.
  3. Web/App: store.playstation.com or PlayStation App → Library → Purchased → Add-ons → Download to Console (remote).
  4. PS3 Specific: PlayStation Store (on console) → Search game → "Add-ons" → "My Add-ons" → Download. Or **Account Management → Transaction History** → "Download to System".

Exceptions (Permanent Loss)

  • Delisted DLC + Never Downloaded: If publisher removed from Store *before* you downloaded (e.g., Marvel vs Capcom 2, Scott Pilgrim, PT Demo), **gone forever** unless you have a backup.
  • Account Ban / Region Mismatch: Banned account = no access. DLC region must match game region (BLUS/BLES/BCES/BLAS).
  • PS3 Game Data vs Save Data: Deleting "Game Data" (install) ≠ Deleting DLC. DLC lives in "Game Data Utility" or "Saved Data Utility" as separate entries.

PS Plus Cloud Save ≠ DLC Backup

  • Cloud saves **only** back up *save files* (progress). Not DLC packages, not game installs, not themes/avatars.

Prevention

  • Keep **Automatic Downloads** ON (Settings → Power Save → Features Available in Rest Mode).
  • Periodically: Library → Purchased → "Download All" for current games.
  • External HDD (PS4/PS5) — keeps DLC installed across internal storage swaps.

If purchased, it's yours forever (barring delisting-before-download). Just re-download.
