A PlayStation Network Store account is your portal to game updates and downloads. The sign in ID used for your store account is your email address. If you no longer use the same email address you had when you signed up for your account, you can change it with no problem from your PlayStation Portable. You don't need to contact Sony or click on an validation link; the changes made to your ID become effective immediately.

Log in to your PlayStation Store account from your PSP.

In the top right of the account window, you will see a small icon of a PSP with a pen next to it. This is your "Account Management" menu. Click on it, then click on "Change Sign in ID."

Type your new sign in ID, then click "Continue." The screen will display "Your sign in ID (e-mail address) has been updated."
