Creators of the Original Xbox: Microsoft Team Led by J Allard, Seamus Blackley, Otto Berkes

The original Xbox (2001) was developed and manufactured by Microsoft. No single person "invented" it, but three leaders drove the project:

• J Allard: General Manager of the Xbox project; oversaw development, launch, and Xbox Live creation.
• Seamus Blackley: Conceived the "DirectX Box" concept; championed PC-like architecture and developer relations.
• Otto Berkes: Led hardware engineering; defined the GPU (NV2A), audio, and system integration.

A large team of engineers, designers, and programmers at Microsoft brought it to market. Key partners included NVIDIA (GPU), Intel (CPU), and Seagate (HDD).
