How to Login to Netflix on Your XBox

Microsoft offers Netflix instant streaming to Gold Xbox Live subscribers with Netflix accounts. When initially attempting to use the service, one can run into a roadblock when trying to sign in. The Xbox 360 does not include a "Username" or "Password" field related to your Netflix account. Instead of completing the sign-up process on your console, you must use a computer to activate Netflix for your gamertag. The process is, however, a one-time setup.

  Log in to your Xbox Live Gold account. If you do not have a Gold account, visit Xbox.com/en-US/live/joinlive to create one.

  Scroll up to the "Video Marketplace" section of your console's "Dashboard" menu. If you are in a game menu, press the Guide button and push "Y" to open the "Dashboard."

  Scroll to the right and choose "Netflix." A setup screen opens.

  Choose "Yes, I am" to indicate you have a Netflix account. Non-members can also use the Netflix setup to create an account here. Your console displays an activation code.

  Record your "Activation Code" and leave your console powered on.

  Visit Netflix.com/activate on your computer and log in to your Netflix account.

  Enter your Xbox's activation code into the corresponding field and click "Activate Now." After a few seconds, your Xbox logs in to Netflix and loads your "Instant Queue."
