How to Sign Into Xbox.com If You Forgot Your Login Info

Xbox.com is Microsoft's online companion to its Xbox Live service. Here, users can view their Xbox Live friends, check on their Gamerscore and view all of the settings associated with their Xbox Live account. If you do not know your Xbox.com login information and wish to log in to your Xbox.com account, it may seem like you are out of luck. Using a combination of your Xbox system and Xbox.com's password-recovery tool, however, you can recover your Xbox.com login information in a few simple steps.

  Turn on your Xbox 360 system and press the center "Xbox Guide" button on your Xbox 360 controller.

  Navigate over to the "Settings" panel of the Xbox Guide and scroll down to the "Account Management" option. Press the "A" button to select the Account Management option.

  Navigate over to the "Your Information" panel, scroll down to the 'Windows Live ID" option and press the "A" button. Your Windows Live ID email address will be listed beneath the "Current Windows Live ID" heading.

  Open your computer's Web browser and navigate to "www.Xbox.com." Click the "Sign In" link, followed by the "Forgot Your Password?" link on the following page.

  Select the "I Forgot My Password" option and click the "Reset Password" link.

  Type the Windows Live ID email address you recovered in Step 3 in the space labeled "Windows Live ID." Type the characters in Captcha image that appears on the screen in the space labeled "Characters." Click the "Next" button to continue.

  Select the "Security Question" option to reveal the security question you created when you setup your account and type the answer to your security question in the space labeled "Answer." Click the "Next" button to continue

  Type your new password in the space labeled "Type New Password." Confirm the new password in the space labeled "Retype New Password." Click the "Next" button to continue.

  Click the "Sign in to Windows Live" button, type the email address you recovered in Step 3 and the password you recovered in Step 8 in the spaces provided and click the "Sign In" button to sign into your Xbox.com account.
