How to Get WiFi to Work With R4 Cartridges

R4 Cartridges are devices used with Nintendo portable gaming consoles. R4 cartridges allow you to load multiple games onto one cartridge. Normally, you would have to swap cartridges out every time you want to play a game but with the R4, a selection of games can be stored all in one place. You can still connect your device to a Wi-Fi network if you are playing a game loaded on a R4 cartridge.

Instructions

  Run a game from your R4 cartridge that supports Wi-Fi.

  Select ̶0;Nintendo WFC̶1; then select ̶0;Nintendo WFC Settings.̶1;

  Press the ̶0;Nintendo Wi-Fi Connections Settings̶1; button. You will see three connection options available.

  Select the first connection and press ̶0;A.̶1;

  Press ̶0;Search for an Access Point.̶1; This will search for an available Wi-Fi connection.

  Select an available Wi-Fi access point then press ̶0;A.̶1;

  Press ̶0;A̶1; to begin a connection test. Once the connection tests concludes, your device will be connected to Wi-Fi.
