How to Get Uncharted 2 to Work on External

"Uncharted 2: Among Thieves" was one of the top-rated games for the PlayStation 3 in 2009, and continues to rank among the highest-rated titles for the system. In the game you play as Nathan Drake, an Indiana Jones-type character trying to uncover the myth of the fleet of Marco Polo, which lost most of its ships on a voyage from China to Persia. Like all video games, "Uncharted 2" is normally played from the physical medium it comes on, but a little work on the PlayStation 3 allows you to play the game from an external hard drive.

multiMAN Backup Manager
BDEMU.rar
USB flash drive

Instructions

  Download the PlayStation Archive Utility (PSARC.ZIP) to your computer.

  Extract the files ̶0;ZLIB.NET.DLL̶1; and ̶0;PSARC.EXE̶1; to a folder on your desktop.

  Put your "Uncharted 2" disc into your computer and search for any files that are above 4 gigabytes in size. These will have ̶0;.PSARC̶1; as a file extension.

  Copy these large files into the folder that contains ̶0;ZLIB.NET.DLL̶1; and ̶0;PSARC.EXE.̶1;

  Drag the large files onto ̶0;PSARC.EXE̶1; to extract them. A folder will appear with the extracted files.

  Copy the folder with the extracted files to the main game folder, ̶0;PS3_GAMEUSRDIRBUILDMAIN.̶1;

  Delete the files that have the ̶0;.PSARC̶1; file extension.

  Copy the folder ̶0;PS3_GAMEUSRDIRBUILDMAIN̶1; to your external hard drive.

  Download multiMAN Backup Manager and BDEMU.rar to your computer. Extract both files by double-clicking on them and drag the created files to a USB flash drive. Eject the flash drive.

  Connect the USB flash drive to your PlayStation 3. Turn on the system.

  Go to the ̶0;Games̶1; menu and select ̶0;Install Packages.̶1;

  Locate multiMAN and BDEMU and install the two programs.

  Open multiMAN, which will appear in the Playstation 3 menu once installation is complete. Run "Uncharted 2" from the external hard drive from multiMAN.
