Key Rules

  • Dongle = Console Specific. PS3 dongle ≠ Xbox 360 dongle ≠ Wii dongle.
  • GH Live (6-button) only works with GH Live. Not backward compatible with GH1-5.
  • Rock Band instruments generally work in GH3+ (except GH Live).
  • PC: Use 360 wireless dongle (official Microsoft) or wired 360 guitar. GH Live PC needs GH Live dongle.
  • Clone Guitars: Avoid. High latency, drift, break fast. Buy used official (RedOctane, PDP).
