Where to Buy Timeshift (Digital) — Currently Unavailable

Timeshift (2007, Saber/Atari) is delisted from all digital storefronts (Steam, GOG, Epic, Xbox, PSN) due to licensing expiration (Atari → Saber → THQ Nordic / Embracer).

Current Legal Options

• Physical Disc (PC / Xbox 360 / PS3): eBay, Amazon, local — $5–$20. PC version uses SecuROM (may need No-CD patch on Win10/11).
• Xbox Backward Compatibility: Not BC on Xbox One/Series — never added.
• Key Resellers (Risky): G2A, Kinguin, Eneba — sometimes list old Steam keys. No guarantee of validity; often revoked. Not recommended.

Why It's Gone

• Engine middleware (Havok, Scaleform) licenses expired.
• Publisher changes (Atari → bankruptcy → Saber → Embracer) — no one renewed distribution rights.
• Source code reportedly lost — remaster unlikely.

Best Path

Buy used Xbox 360 / PS3 disc (cheap, plays on original hardware or RPCS3/Xenia emulators with disc dump). PC disc + No-CD patch works but SecuROM is finicky.
