How to Run Classic StarCraft and StarCraft II on Modern Computers

1. StarCraft: Remastered & Brood War (Original 1998/1999)

Best Method: Battle.net App (Official)

1. Create/log into a Battle.net account.
2. Download the Battle.net Desktop App.
3. In the app, go to StarCraft → Install. This installs StarCraft: Remastered (includes original + remastered graphics, modern widescreen, matchmaking).
4. Owners of original keys (or new buyers) get Remastered. The original 1998 version is also accessible via the app's version dropdown for purists.

Legacy CD Keys: Register old CD keys in Battle.net Account → "Add a Game" to unlock Remastered free.

2. StarCraft II (Wings of Liberty, Heart of the Swarm, Legacy of the Void)

1. Install Battle.net App.
2. Select StarCraft II → Install.
