Playing Fable 3 on PC – Options in 2024 (Cloud Gaming Best, GFWL Broken)

Fable III was never natively released on PC. (Fable I & III skipped PC; only Fable: The Lost Chapters and Fable III... wait—Fable III did get a PC port via Games for Windows Live in 2011, but GFWL shutdown 2014 broke it. It was delisted from Steam. Correction: Fable III is on PC but unplayable legally without workarounds.)

If You Own the PC Disc

Install from disc.
Install xliveless (drop `xlive.dll` in game folder).
Create offline GFWL profile (Home → Create Profile → Offline).
Play. Save works; DLC inaccessible.
