Loading Games in VisualBoy Advance (VBA)

Legal reminder: Only use ROMs from games you own.

Quick Start

1. Download VBA: vba-m.com (active fork) or GitHub
2. Install/Extract: Run installer or unzip portable version
3. Open ROM: File > Open > select .gba/.gbc/.gb file
4. Configure Controls: Options > Joypad > Configure > map keys/gamepad

Key Features

• Save States: Shift+F1–F10 (instant), F1–F10 (load)
• Speed/Turbo: Space (hold), Ctrl+Space (toggle)
• Cheats: Tools > Cheats > Gameshark/CodeBreaker
• Video: Filters, fullscreen, recording (AVI)
• Link Cable: Emulated multiplayer (2 VBA instances)

• Dump your own carts (GB Operator, Retrode)
• Nintendo Switch Online (GB/GBC/GBA libraries)
• Homebrew/PD ROMs (itch.io, dev sites)
