Switching Teams in Madden Franchise Mode: Not Possible Mid-Franchise, Workarounds

You cannot switch teams mid-franchise in any Madden (including 24/25). The mode locks you to one franchise (owner/coach/player).

Workarounds

• Start New Franchise: Select desired team. Fastest way.
• Commissioner Mode (Offline Only): Tools → Commissioner → "Manage Owners" → Retire current owner → Assign yourself to new team. Breaks immersion/stats.
• Trade for Roster: Trade away your stars for the target team's stars (salary cap hell).
• Fantasy Draft: Start franchise with Fantasy Draft → Pick players from any team.
• Relocation: Move your current team to the target city (if allowed) — keeps roster, changes name/stadium/uniforms.

Online / Connected Franchise (CFM)

No switching. Commissioner can force-retire users, opening team for new human — but you'd need a second account / friend to take your old team.

Best: Restart with desired team or use Fantasy Draft for custom roster.
