Playing Oblivion GOTY Expansions: Knights of the Nine & Shivering Isles Access Guide

The Game of the Year Edition includes both expansions integrated seamlessly. No separate install or menu selection needed.

Accessing Knights of the Nine (Available Immediately)

1. Start new game or load existing save.
2. Travel to Imperial City → Temple District.
3. Find Prophet Anwe (preaching near the Nine Altars).
4. Talk → Quest “Pilgrimage” starts the DLC.
5. Recommended level 10+ (scaling enemies, tough knights).

Accessing Shivering Isles (Requires Main Quest Progress)

1. Complete main quest up to “Light the Dragonfires” (Martin Septim becomes Emperor).
2. A giant portal (Gate to the Shivering Isles) appears in Niben Bay (small island southeast of Imperial City / Waterfront District).
3. Enter portal → Meet Haskill → Quest “Through a Door, Darkly” begins.
4. Recommended level 15–20+ (unique enemies, madness mechanics).

If Continuing Pre-GOTY Save

• Knights of the Nine: Prophet Anwe appears automatically.
• Shivering Isles: Portal appears after main quest completion (same as above).

Notes

• Official soundtrack: Added to Music folder in Data Files — no gameplay effect.
• Level scaling: Both DLCs scale with player level. Don’t rush underleveled.
• PS3 GOTY: Knights of the Nine on disc; Shivering Isles requires download (voucher code often expired — buy digital GOTY).
