Playing Brink Multiplayer in 2024: Community Revival

Official servers shut down years ago. However, the community has resurrected multiplayer via:

1. Brink Remaster (PC) — Best Option

• Project: brinkremaster.com — Fan‑made client/server rewrite.
• Features: 60+ FPS, widescreen, modern matchmaking, anti‑cheat, all DLC unlocked, active Discord.
• Requirement: Own Brink on Steam. Installer patches game files.

2. LAN / Direct IP (All Platforms)

• Works on PC, Xbox 360 (System Link), PS3 (LAN).
• Requires all players on same subnet / VPN (Hamster, ZeroTier, Radmin VPN).
• No matchmaking; host creates match, others join via IP.

3. Private / Modded Servers (PC)

• Small communities host dedicated servers with custom maps/modes.
• Find via Reddit r/Brink, Steam Community Hub, Discord: "Brink Community".
• Often require specific client patches (download from server admin).

4. Console (Xbox 360 / PS3) — Nearly Dead

• System Link (LAN) only. No Xbox Live / PSN matchmaking.
• Xbox 360: XLink Kai / Insignia (custom Live) *might* work but population ~0.
