Best Nitrome Games You Should Play

Nitrome's Flash-era library is vast, but these titles represent their creative peak across genres. Most are playable today via Nitrome.com (HTML5 ports), Flashpoint, or mobile ports.

Platformers

  • Superhero (2008): Tight, stylish, with a unique grappling-hook mechanic.
  • Skywire (2006) & Skywire 2: Cable-car physics puzzles across hazardous tracks.
  • Bomb Chicken (2018): Lay bombs to boost, block, and blast—clever puzzle-platforming.

Puzzle / Logic

  • Ridiculous Fishing (2013): Tilt to avoid fish, tap to shoot them skyward, then reel for cash. Absurd, addictive, mobile-native.
  • Ice Breaker (2009): Slice ice to free trapped Vikings; physics + strategy.
  • Pointless (2010): Minimalist logic puzzles—draw lines to guide particles. Deceptively deep.

Action / Arcade

  • Bad Ice-Cream (2010–2013): Maze-chase action; build/break ice walls, collect fruit, avoid enemies. 2-player co-op.
  • Space Grunts (2016): Turn-based roguelike shooter. Tactical, tough, great pixel art.
  • Gunbrick (2015): Rotate a square tank—one face is a gun, one a shield. Brilliant one-button design.

Multiplayer / Party

  • Cobalt (2011): Fast-paced local multiplayer arena combat. Roll, slide, slow-mo.
  • Test Subject Arena (2008): Twin-stick shooter deathmatches for up to 4 players.

Honorable Mentions

Fireboy and Watergirl series (co-op puzzle-platformers), The Last Door (pixel horror adventure), The Impossible Quiz (troll trivia).

Start with Ridiculous Fishing, Bad Ice-Cream, or Superhero for instant Nitrome flavor.
