How to Open the Cheat Console in The Sims 4, 3, and 2 (PC/Mac & Console)

There's no "cheat box" — it's the Cheat Console (command line).

The Sims 4 (PC/Mac)

  • Windows: Ctrl + Shift + C
  • Mac: Command + Shift + C
  • White bar appears top-center. Type cheat → Enter.
  • Enable Testing Cheats: testingcheats true (shift-click objects/Sims for debug options).

The Sims 3 (PC/Mac)

  • Same shortcut: Ctrl/Command + Shift + C.
  • testingcheatsenabled true → shift-click for needs, teleport, relationship edits.

The Sims 2 (PC/Mac)

  • Same shortcut: Ctrl/Command + Shift + C.
  • testingcheatsenabled true (or boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true).
  • Shift-click mailbox / Sim / object for debug menus.

Console Versions

  • PS3/PS4/PS5, Xbox 360/One/Series: No cheat console. Some cheats via button combos at main menu (e.g., Sims 3 PS3: L1+L2+R1+R2 → "Spoot the Magic Llama"). Limited.
