How to Enter Cheat Codes in Mario Kart

You can't. No Mario Kart game (SNES through Mario Kart 8 Deluxe) includes a cheat-code entry system.

What Exists Instead

• Unlockables: Win cups, beat staff ghosts, collect coins → new characters, karts, parts.
• Shortcuts/Glitches: Community-discovered ultra-shortcuts (e.g., MK64 Wario Stadium, MKWii Grumble Volcano) — patched in later versions/online.
• GameShark/Action Replay (N64/GCN/Wii): External devices for infinite items, speed mods — offline only.
• Mods (PC/Switch homebrew): Custom tracks, 200cc, item tweaks.

Legit Ways to Improve

• Practice time trials with each vehicle combo.
• Learn drift charging (blue/orange/pink sparks).
• Watch top players' lines on YouTube (e.g., Abney317, Arthur MK).

Fair play keeps online fun for everyone.
