Risks of Cheat Devices on GBA

Save Corruption: FireRed's save structure (FRAM/EEPROM) is fragile; bad codes = "Save file erased" or "Corrupted data."
Bad Eggs: Modifier codes often generate Bad Eggs that hatch into game-freezing glitches.
Event Flags: Flags for Mew, Deoxys, Ho-Oh, Lugia are server-verified in later gens; local cheats don't transfer.
Trainer ID / PID Mismatch: Generated Pokémon fail legality checks (PokéBank, HOME, competitive).

Legitimate Alternatives

Rare Pokémon (Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Deoxys)	Official events (historical), Pokémon GO → HOME transfer, or trade from Emerald (via Pal Park → Gen 4 → HOME).
Perfect IVs / Nature	Breeding chain: Destiny Knot + Everstone + Ditto (6IV) + Synchronize lead. Use Pikalytics for spreads.
Shiny Hunting	Masuda Method (foreign Ditto) + Shiny Charm (post-game) = 1/512. Or SOS chaining (Gen 7+) / Mass Outbreaks (Gen 9).
Quick Leveling	Vs. Seeker rematches (Elite 4, Trainer Tower), Lucky Egg (held), Exp. Share (Key Item).
Infinite Money / Items	Amule Coin / Luck Incense + Pay Day (Meowth/Persian) + Vs. Seeker rich trainers (Lady Selphy, Gentleman Lamar).
