Unlocking Blaze in Crypt of the NecroDancer (No Codes Needed)

There are no cheat codes to unlock Blaze. She is unlocked through normal progression — a reward for mastery.

How to Unlock Blaze (Legitimately)

1. Beat the game once with any character (reach Zone 4, defeat NecroDancer).
2. Blaze unlocks immediately for All Zones Mode and Daily Challenge.

Blaze's Mechanics (Why She's Unique)

• Starting Gear: Dagger (1 dmg), Ring of Shadows (invisibility on beat), Boots of Leaping.
• Gimmick: Auto-attack on beat. You cannot stop attacking. Pressing direction = move + attack. Requires totally different rhythm mastery.
• Cannot Use: Weapons (except dagger), shields, most rings (Ring of Shadows fixed).

If You're Stuck Beating the Game

• Practice Cadence (default) first; she has no gimmicks.
• Use Practice Mode (Main Menu) to drill specific zones/bosses.
• Enable No Beat Penalty / Invincibility in Practice Mode to learn patterns.
• Watch SpootyBiscuit or Tetra on YouTube for high-level routing.

Blaze is a reward for mastery. Cheating past the requirement defeats the design intent.
