Opening the Cheat Console in The Sims 2 (PC): Essential Cheats & Shift+Click Commands

There is no "cheat box" — you type directly into the Cheat Console.

Steps

1. Load a neighborhood / lot.
2. Press Ctrl + Shift + C simultaneously.
3. A thin gray bar appears at top — type cheat exactly → Press Enter.
4. Press Esc or Ctrl+Shift+C to close.

Essential Cheats

Shift+Click Cheats (Require testingCheatsEnabled true)

• Shift+Click Sim → Spawn → Sim Modder (statue) → Max motives, skills, relationships, spawn objects.
• Shift+Click Sim → Make Happy (fills all needs).
• Shift+Click Mailbox → Make All Happy / Force NPC / Delete All NPCs.
• Shift+Click Lot → Build on This Lot (edit community lots).

Case Sensitivity

Cheats are case‑insensitive but spacing matters (`boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true` not `boolproptestingcheatsenabledtrue`).

Backup saves before heavy cheat use (Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Neighborhoods).
