The Sims: How to "Remove" a Sim Without Harmful Cheats

We won't provide cheats to kill Sims — it violates game mechanics and can corrupt saves. Instead, use in-game storytelling tools:

Legitimate "Exit" Methods

  • Move out: Split household → Sim relocates to another lot (keeps relationships, skills).
  • Dangerous careers: Astronaut, firefighter, stunt driver (with mods/EP) have death chances.
  • Environmental hazards: Fire (stove + low cooking), electrocution (repairing while wet), drowning (remove pool ladder), starvation, old age.
  • University / expansion deaths: Cowplant, Murphy bed, steam vent, sunlight (vampires), pufferfish nigiri.
  • Story progression (mod): NRaas StoryProgression (TS3) or MCCC (TS4) can age/kill inactive Sims naturally.

Creative Alternatives

  • Write a "tragic backstory" and move them to a "cemetery" lot.
  • Use testingcheatsenabled true → shift-click → "trigger age transition" to age them to elder → wait.
  • Build a "memorial garden" for roleplay closure.

The Sims is a life simulator — death is a natural event, not a cheat code. Embrace the storytelling.
