Two DS Lites on Same Wi-Fi for Pokémon Black Club: Not Possible—Local Wireless Only

No. You cannot connect two DS Lites via Wi-Fi/internet for Pokémon Black multiplayer.

Why

  • Pokémon Black (Gen 5) only supports local wireless (Ad-Hoc) for multiplayer—not internet/Wi-Fi (Infrastructure) battles/trades.
  • The DS Lite has no Wi-Fi capability—it only supports local Ad-Hoc wireless (direct console-to-console).

How to Actually Play Together

Both DS Lites must be physically near each other (within ~30–100 feet) for local wireless connection.

  1. Both players: Enter Pokémon Center → Union Room (top floor).
  2. Talk to the attendant → "Local Wireless" / "Ad-Hoc".
  3. One creates a group, the other joins.
  4. Trade, battle, or interact.

Internet Features in Pokémon Black

  • Global Trade Station (GTS): Trade via internet (requires Nintendo WFC — discontinued 2014, fan revival Wiimmfi works with DNS patch).
  • Random Matchup: Online battles (WFC/Wiimmfi).
  • Dream World: Browser-based (shut down).

For local multiplayer: sit next to each other. For internet: need Wiimmfi + DNS patch on both systems.
