Can You Connect Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS) to Wii? No—But You Could Transfer to City Folk (Wii)

No direct connection exists between Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS) and the Wii console. They cannot communicate, share items, or transfer towns.

What *Was* Possible: DS → Wii Town Transfer (One Way)

Animal Crossing: City Folk (Wii, 2008) included a **one-time transfer tool** to import your Wild World town:

  1. Insert Wild World cart in DS.
  2. Start City Folk on Wii → Select "Move from DS" at title screen.
  3. DS downloads a **transfer app** via DS Download Play (no cart needed on Wii).
  4. App uploads town data (house, items, neighbors, catalog, bells) to Wii.
  5. Wild World town is **erased** (cannot go back).

This required Nintendo WFC (shut down 2014). It no longer works.

What You Can Still Do (Offline)

  • Local DS-to-DS: Visit friends' towns via local wireless (no internet). Trade items, fruit, patterns.
  • Time Travel: Change DS clock to access events, turnips, shop rotation.
  • Action Replay / Save Editor: Edit save file on PC (via flashcart) for items, bells, map.

Wii & DS Connectivity (Other Games)

  • Pokémon Battle Revolution (Wii) ↔ Diamond/Pearl/Platinum/HG/SS (DS) — Battles, storage.
  • Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time (Wii/DS) — Cross-play.
  • Dragon Quest IX (DS) → DQX (Wii) — Not cross-play.

Summary

Wild World on DS and City Folk on Wii are separate games. The one-time transfer tool is dead. Enjoy Wild World locally or via flashcart mods.
